Sales Interview - A Comedy Drama

Hi & lo!

As an artist, I’m experimenting new styles, and would love to know how you respond towards, this comedy piece of mine. Will it bring a laughter? I don’t know. I leave that upon you, dear reader.

The following is a conversation between a job seeker and a Sales Manager.

Sales interview

‘Sell me this pen’ is a popular sales interview question as well as part of satire in modern daily soaps and drama on television. There’s literally no fixed answer to this. How has the answer evolved?

Manager - Sell me this pen.
Sam (guy who came for interview) - You already bought it from a guy.
Manager - I wanna test your selling skills.
Sam - What do you really want from me?
Manager - Skills.
Sam - You can buy this AI master class just for 999-
Manager - I want to know if you have skills to sell even a thing.
Sam - Oh. I’m sorry, but I can’t sell a second hand pen to a customer who is already using the same pen.
Manager - It’s a new pen. Now don’t test my patience.
Sam -  (takes the pen silently and walks out)
Manager - Fine, anyways you’re gonna get rejected for this behaviour.
Manager - Kindly Give me the pen.
Sam - 5 dollars. Take it or leave it.
Manager - Tried to outsmart me?
Sam - No ma’am, demand and supply go in parallel.
Manager - Welcome Onboard. You’re hired in hospitality rather than sales.
Sam - I didn’t get you. Your company does sales and marketing right?
Manager - We are opening a new hospitality business, you seem to be a perfect fit.
Sam - Which role am I getting? What does this mean?
Manager - Hotel Manager. You know what I mean. You stay under the same roof without roaming, and earn the same.
Sam - *gesture for money*
Manager - Salary? What are you expecting?
Sam - What’s most that you wanna do?
Manager - 7000 dollars, no bargaining.
Sam - *smiles* You’re buying me, that’s my dialogue.
Manager - So, what do you say?
Sam - My current package is 8K. I’m expecting a hike.
Manager - Usually 7K is the ceiling, sales people earn more, but we can match that.
Sam - Why are you taking me into hospitality then?
Manager - Your words reflect what you can do. I get to know the people to hire, you get an experience. It’s a win win.
Sam - Fine. 10K or I’m leaving.
Manager - 8500 is the final. Don’t try pressure tactics on me.
Sam - 9K.
Manager - 8.6
Sam - 8.7
Manager - 8.65. Don’t bargain cents now. My budget was 7K. If you quote another value, I won’t do anything. Take it or leave it.
Sam - *I badly need a job* Deal.

Chaotic World - How Science Evolved (Satire)

What if the world of science wasn’t built in silence… but amidst pure chaos? A ball falls while an apple drops and a cat simply walks past through the scene. And somewhere in between, humanity keeps trying to explain everything.
