Killer Miller,
Hide your fear.
Whisper low,
But never near.
He sipped the wine,
He stole the bread,
Peoples’ ears still hear the dead.
Are you my seer?
Then close your eyes,
For Miller walks
Where silence lies.
Don’t knock the door,
Don’t light the flame,
He only answers
When called by name.
Killer Miller,
Blood runs thinner,
Every saint
Becomes a sinner.
A shadow tall,
A voice too small,
They say he never lived at all.
Yet children sing,
In moonlit halls:
“If Miller comes…
The laughter falls.”
He’s really a serial,
It feels so surreal
But legends say Miller
Is frighteningly real.
Who is Miller?
A killer? A millman? A farmer? A seer? A husband? A myth?
Or perhaps… you?
Killer Miller is a horror-themed medieval based, satirical and philosophical collection of "13" poems built around one strangely persistent figure: Miller.
Across thirteen poems, Miller changes faces, meanings and even realities. What begins as a mysterious horror-like legend gradually wanders through folklore, society, war, absurdity, language, human nature, questions of existence, modern life and finally art itself.
There is no single Miller.
He may be a character, a metaphor, a fear, a memory, a joke, a question, or simply a name onto which we project our own interpretations. Marie may be real or imagined. The lore may be history or nonsense. The answers may contradict the questions.
And perhaps that is the point.
Killer Miller does not ask you to solve its mythology. It invites you to experience it.
Sometimes it rhymes.
Sometimes it rambles.
Sometimes it makes no sense.
And sometimes, somewhere between the absurd and the philosophical, it makes rather too much sense.
Because art does not always need to explain itself. It doesn't intend to be traditional literature.
